I've continued with making new images on top of old. Transitioning from one (physical) painting to another has always been difficult for me. I always feel like I am at one extreme or the other; paintings that are redundant in an effort to fully explore an idea or paintings that are too different from their predecessors.
Painting digitally, in layers, continuously, allows me to indulge in both extremes, I think. Sometimes the digital images meet in the middle of this scale. Sometimes, more one way than the other. Always gratifying.
