Variation 1 - 6" x 6" acrylic on canvas
I have been in a painting rut for a week straight. Have been thinking and doodling, looking for the solution to an abstract problem. The solution was found to be a simple matter of visual inspiration. No thought required. Sometimes we just have to experience the visual success of another to flip the switch in our own hastily wired minds.
And so I proceeded to paint over the 6" x 6" square of canvas that had brought me to my knees earlier in the week. Success?

Definitely Not Archival - 6" x 6" acrylic on canvas.
The title of this one spawned from a conversation with a friend on just how (un)important it is to utilize archival materials when making a painting.
